Seeing Mauina handing out the asstle test, I was so nervous to see how well I did in the test. She aproched my way, handing out the testa sheets. Starring at my marks, I was so dissappointed because I wasn’t reading at my own age and I was under the average mark. For my reading, I am reading at 3P, that means i’m reading at are year six level. to inprove my reading I should read alot and maybe give it to your mum and ask them to ask you some questions about your book.

Looking at other asstle test of mine, I was so dissappointed at that one because I just knew that one was going to be similar to the reading. My maths was under the averge mark. Vollyball Tournament

Our Vollyball team making it into the Vollyball Auckland Champs. We were so proud of our selves because we haven’t played that sport before and also that is our first time going to the Auckland Champs.

As we got to the place where the Tounament was, it was the Mystics home ground. Strolling into the stadium seeing all teams who made it the Auckland Champs like, Vicount, Te Matauranga, Howick, Mt Roskill and many more.

Our first game started at 10 o’clock. We were playing against Te Matauranga school intermediate. As we saw them, they looked small but they were good. As we were losing, I was so angry that I wanted to jump in and play. The final score llike 30-40 to them.

our next game was against are team that was out West, Mt Roskill intermediate. As we recieved the ballI, I thought I was going to play in this game. I was really desparet to play. As my we were winning, I thought we were going to take this tournament out. We had won. If we didn’t win this game we would haven’t went to the Semis.

I was still waiting for my turn as they were playing aganist Howick. Sitting on the side-line with Jonty, Sione and Jordan who’s haven’t had a turn since the first game. We were sitting there like we were just cheer leaders. We had won that game.

We had are longer break before playing an harder team that was better then all the other team that were we played. There team was like an professional Vollyball team.

Wow! I was so shocked that I did not know that the sun was a star. The sun is like 1,000 times the earth. If you compare the sun to earth, the diameter of earth is bout 12,756 km and the sun is about 1,329,000 km. The thing that have heard from other people that they say VV Cephei is like the biggest star. The smallest earth is pluto, then Mercury, Mars, Venus, and our planet, Earth, then Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn. The brightest star out of all of them is Sirius.

Aussie Rules

Straight after the bell,  my teacher was telling us that we have Aussie Rules.  We were strolling to the court to see two people that I haven't met before.  Telling my friends "who are these two people",  they answered,  their names are Micheal and Lucy who are going to demonstrate what is the point of this game.  The thing that got us warmed up was a game of octopus.  My friend Tanielu,  trying to catch me was a little bit hard for me because he was fast and a challenging person.  I was like the ninth person who got out in the center of the court.  The three winners were Moses, and two others.  I was so warned up for another challenge.    The next game that we played was that we needed 5 people for this game.  This game reminded us of Basket Ball.  There was an umpire, two people to jump up for the ball and your team mate.   In my team was Casey and in Moses is team was Toko and our umpire was Tanielu.  I was with an challenging boy who was the same height as me.  Looking at my apponent,  he looked like he was hungry for the ball just like me.  Both of us squatting down ready to jump for that ball, it was so intense and aggressive.  We both jumped up at the same time stretching our hands out like we were stretching out our wings.  I had won the first challenge but their were more challenges to go.

As soon as that bell rang for after school, I sprinted home to go and watch the Rugby World Cup game that was on, Samoa and Namibia. I got home and it was nearly half time. In the 39 ninth minute, Namibia was trying to score a try. Namibia was so close to getting that try, but sadly with a fascinating hit that was delivered to the Namibian fly half, from Paul Williams and sadly sent to the bin for 10 minutes. Samoa had only played with 14 players on the field. The score at halftime was 25-0 to Manu Samoa.

Bill Mclare Rugby Tournament!!!

It was a sporty holiday for me because on the first week I had Rugby all week for the Bill Mclaren Rugby Tournament. I couldn’t believe it because after the Rugby Tournament, it was so tiring for me to do other things when I get home.

Meeting my team at the Teachers Eastern Rugby Clubs late, people were saying “why are you late?” Me saying sorry boy’s, I woke up late and I didn’t get enough sleep so I apoligize.

Seeing all the other teams, we were like the smallest team there.

Our first game was against the team that was out West. The West-Side. We thought we were going to lose but we just had the faith in us that we were going to win. As they kicked it off to us, I was feeling nervous because I haven’t played Rugby before in a Tournament. As we were getting lots of try’s I already knew that we were going to. The final score was 36 neal to us.

Making it to the finals, our coach was really really proud of us. As my team was thinking who was going to be in the finals with us and just knew it was going to be South because they played West and they beat them 56-7. The South team had been winning the Bill Mclaren Rugby Tournament 2xs in a row and looking for a third time to win.

It was an awesome week and fun but so tiring. I think I didn’t do well in the tournament, except one, that game was against Central.

I believe that the problem in the school area (The Street) there are to many people running at times when we have to sit down. Enough of a problem to put up as a sign. I recommend that it will be a good idea if we put up a sign which would stop this hazard from happening.

Who does it affect? People walking by may get bumped.

Why is it happening in our school? To many people playing games while eating.

When does it happen? Mostly beggining of Morning Tea and lunch times.

My Bad Report!!!

Seeing the reports on the teaches table, I was so nervous because I thought my report was going to be bad. I knew that we were going to take our reports home, so I asked my teacher if we could take it home on Friday. She answered “no”.

As I was thinking about my report when I was strolling home, I already knew that my dad and mum were going to be so angry at me. So I just walked straight inside and my mum asked me for my report. I gave it to her and she gave it to my dad.

The next day it was interviews, so we finished early at 12:30.

As my mum finished talking with the teacher, my mum gave me feedback what my teacher had talked about. She was so angry at me that she did not want to talk to me.

I was so angry at my self that I needed to work harder and don’t be distacted.

Coming 4th In The Auckland Champs!!!

I have been waiting for this day, It was the day that all of our Rugby boys go to the Auckland Region's where we verse other schools around Auckland. I was ecstatic because, Rugby is like my favourite sport.

So we left the school, everybody wished us good luck. I was feeling sick as the radio was so loud that it gave me an huge head AK. We were waiting in a long traffic so I thought we were going to be late and not play in the Auckland Champs, but as our coach told us that our first game is at 10 to 11, we still had lot of time.

Seeing the schools that we were going to play, they were like humongous and we were small. The smaller you are, the better it is because, you could step them and run around them.

So our first game was against Central Intermediate. As we saw there first game they had beat the other team, so they won. It was an pretty hard game because they just scored a try. So I think they were going to win and they did.

Going to the semi’s was going to be really hard because we were versing Vicount and they were big. We were just so wet and freezing so they were just scoring try by try by try.

As we came 4th, we were all still happy.

Term 2 high-lights!!!

In term 2, our Rugby Union team strolled down to Dunkirk to play in the Eastern Zone Tournament. As we got there, we saw about 20 schools there. We thought we were going to take it out.

As we were going to play our first game against Tamaki Intermediate, we thought we were going to beat them like nothing, but it was a pretty hard game. As we were still winning, We still beat them. It was an extraordinary cool game against them because we really wanted to verse them.

We had a bye, so we went to go and look at the girls play against Bailey Rd Intermediate. They had played a hard team too, just like us. Our girls had kicked off to the other team and the other team had the ball. They had ran it to one of our girls, and I had saw a huge hit that was so saw. The whistle blew, and that was the end of there first game.

When we were up to our last game, that was the finals, we were playing against the team that we always wanted to play against.

I had kicked off to them, and all of our boys were chasing the ball and we had got it. First minute, we had got the first try and we were so happy because we were going win this. Running the ball was cool because I thought I was going to get a try but as I got half way, I got hit. So Charm ran the ball and scored the winning try.

We were all so ecstatic because were going to the Auckland Regionals.

Tamaki Tech, Weekend!!!

Every Mondays, we go to Tamaki College for technology. The group that I’m in, is Electronics.

Today, my group just sat down and talked about what happened on the weekend. So I told my that I did that was cool on the weekend, was go to my Rugby League game on Saturday. The team that we were going to play was, the Manurewa Warriors. We were playing at our grounds. As me and my cousins got there, we were like waiting for an hour for the other team to turn up, and then my coach said to us that the other team wasn’t going to turn up because they did not want to play us so we had won by default.

So after that, Tyler told his story us that was so cool on the weekend. So Tyler was talking about his Rugby League game. There team had versed the Otahuhu Leopards at the Mount Wellington Rugby League Clubs. He said i game was an pretty hard game against the Leopards. Mt Wellington Warriors had only won by two points, so I think It is going to be an hard game when we verse them.

If we did nothing at Tech today, I think that was boring.

Probably, one day there will be are big disaster going to happen around the world where millions of people are prepared and some are not. If your’ll prepared, have you got everything that you need, like

but the best food to take is dry food like dryed fruit and the other best food to take is tin foods.

If you’ll not prepared for an are disaster day, you should get ready for one because it might happen any time or any day and it will probably, might really happen.

T.V can be used to watch the news, cartoons, movies, programs and more.

Tamaki Science Roadshow

As our teacher explained to us that we were going to Tamaki College to go and watch the Science Road Show, me and my friends thought we were going to an awesome dance. About 10 sec later, she said it’s all about science

So my class had left the school after lunch with room 19 and 18.

As we got there and there was another school. So the person was talking about science, it was about temperatures, experiments and many more.

As they told us to go and look at one of some cool items of theirs, I went straight to get a card to go and find some answers for it. If you get the answer right, the teacher would clip your card to enter the draw for a prize.

I went to the one that when the water goes down, when you put your hand under it, the water will go back up. Guess how it works? So all the waters coming down, and you put your hand underneath. All the warmness from your hand made the liquid go up the tube, and it would bubble.

The focus for Room 21- CELL-PHONES!!!

In Room 21, for our focus this week, we are writing about technology things like cell-phones, how they changed over time, how they were used, and other things. Every one knows that cell-phones had changed over the year alot.

There are many type of cell-phones over the world.

Vodafone
Nokia
Telecom
I-phones
Panasonic
Black-berry
Sam-sung and many more.

Cell-phones can be used to, call, texting, communicating, collaborating, watching videos, playing games, going on the internet, online-facebook, pictures and music. Cell-phone’s are cool to have because you could text to your friends instead of walking all the way there and coming back. I already have a cell-phone, but I would like to have another phone because the phone that I have is not loud enough like when I play songs it doesn’t play loud enough.

The cost of the phone that I have is like about $199. That’s why I would like another phone because mines a little bit cheap. The costing of the phone that I would like is in the 8 hundreds. My phone can last about 8 days because I don’t really use it that much.

The phone that I really want is a Vodafone phone because nearly every one has it.

Cell-phones are really cool to have.

Zinger Pinger

For this term the team 5 has been rotating for an Immersion time, the first three that I have been to is Creativity, Imagination, practicality.

In our own class our first Immersion was an imagination. For our first activity was doing bus stops around the class. After that, Mrs Langitupo has demonstrated what we have to do for our Zinger Pinger. She said we can design our own Zinger Pinger also our own map.

The next day later, our next Immersion was Creativity.

During the holidays, on a Saturday after my Rugby league game. I was so freezing cold because I was soken wet and I just wanted a hot, hot shower straight away. As my aunty drove me to my nana’s house to have a shower.

As I got there I ran into the shower and, as I past the sitting room I, herd a nooze go oooooooo, so I ran into the sitting room with my towel around my waist, and I saw all of my cousins sitting down and they all just laughing hard out. So I chucked on my wet clothes just waiting for them to back home. In my mine, I was so angry and so cold that I just told them to go and play out side and come back when I finish.

I jump in the shower, feeling nice and warm, and then I jumped out, once I opened the door, there had goes my random cousins again, so told them again, get the hell out.

At Point England school, the year eights and year sevens had a tournament at Avondale race-course. We had an overs team and an unders team.

We had arrived with all schools that had sevens. The overs team had an bye, that means we don’t have a game, but the unders had there first game against De La Sel. We were watching the game and it was pretty interesting. It was the end of the game but the unders lost.

After the unders game, the overs had there first game against De La Sel to. I was so nervours because this was our first time playing sevens in history at Pt England School. We had kicked it off to the other team, and the boy who caught it on a full, he had ran with the ball and stepping \our whole team but as he ran to the winger who was me, he tried to step me but I went for the legs and tackled him. As tackled him I striped the ball off him and passed it out to the winger who was Charm and he got the try. That was the winning try of the game.

It is our second game against Kowhai Intermediate School. Mrs Vaafusuaga said they to us that they were a pretty fast and fit team. But we think we can still bet them. I did not play that game because I had to much turns of playing so I gave a turn to Tamati. They kicked it off to Charm and Charm caught the ball so he ran with it and scored a try. We won our second game so we a going to the qaurta finals. I was so excited and so happy because I think we were going to take it out.

There was no team that wanted to challenge us for the qaurta finals so we went straight to the semi-finals and versed Otahuhu Intermediate. All of there boys were small so I think we were going to bet them to. I was the conversion person because the team chose me as the best drop kicker.

Camp TC

At Point England School the year sevens and year eights are having camp. We are camping at Point England School. I was so excited because we were going camping with our friends. We only camping for three days

On Sunday the day before camp, I said to my self there is one more sleep to go. I went to sleep early like about seven-thirty pm. I woke up and I forgot it was Camp but I said to my self, “yes, yes, yes!” I shouted the whole house off waking up all of the people. My mum screamed at me, “why are you shouting for?” and I said “sorry mum for shouting, because If I didn’t say sorry she probably wouldn’t let me go to camp.

The whole camp site of people met in the hall to check what activity you were going to do first. My group the Responsiblez, first activity was Kayaking. We walked down to the Point England reserve. Our teacher for kayaking was Mr Burt. He was talking to us about some rules and instructions, like how to get in the kayak and how to use the paddles. “The people with the single sets can go and start paddling in the water”, Mr Burt shouted. Feki and I were having a race to the triangle sign and back. I was so tired that my arms were hurting like it was to brake. As the raced finished I said to Feki, “wasn’t that an awesome race?”. When we finished we went back to school to have a wash to clean all of the mud off us and have morning tea.

After morning tea, our next activity was practising on our item for the concert. Our MTV movie song was Missy Eliot. The teacher that was taking charge of the item was Mrs Lagitupu. She was the teacher who picked our song because we took too long to pick. The girls and boys were split up into two groups. The boys strolled into the the green screen room to practise on our item. When it was time to perform at the concert I felt nervous. I think that our item was going to be alright.

It is the last day of camp and we are going to Swimarama. We travelled in a bus there. It was going to be awesome day because the diving boards going to be open. My highlight from Swimarama was the diving board because I dived from the top board.

Rock Up would have to be my overall favourite part of camp. I had a great time and when I went home I felt bored.

The year eights and year sevens Camp is coming up. In our tent groups, ours goals and aims is how to put up a tent.

Equipments.
Pegs
Bags
Poles
Hammer/Mallet.
Covers
Strings/Rope
And a Tent.

Method.

Step1- Put all of the equipments on the ground and spread it out.
Step2- Lay the tent on the ground.
Step3- Get the pegs and hammer it threw the hole on to the ground.
Step4- Get the set of poles and attach it to the clips.
Step5- Get the cover and throw it over the tent and tie the rope on to the pole.

The year eights Soft Ball team travelled in a community van over the harbour bridge to play at the North Shore because we were the ‘’EAST CHAMPIONS’’ and we played the teams that won there side

As we were travelling I was thinking how am I going to to play, slack or be on to it.

As we got there, I was looking at some of the teams. I was looking at some of the teams to look if they were good. Whooooooo, these pitches probably played for some famous team clubs.

Our first game was against Berkdale Intermediate. Looking at the pitcher, it looked like he wasn’t good. Two sucked pitches, third pitched it was perfect so he was only joking the first two. Batter up the empire called up, Go Crews Go Crews we all cheered for him.

We all had a bat and we all got out. I was so angry because I could not hit the ball.

All of our games were hard because these were the best Soft Ball teams around Auckland.

We were unlucky this year because we didn’t make it to the semi finals. We were still happy because we made it to the Auckland Zone.

On Tuesday the 1st of March, the year sevens and eights went to Tamaki Intermediate for our soft ball tournament. All of the boys were already confident before the game started also me.

In our positions practising our throws. Batter up, ohhhhhhhh the game started wasn’t that fast I said to my friends. Hit it to my hit to me, I shouted to the batter. Boom, the batter swung a huge hit to Charm. Rolling on the ground, Charm grabbed the ball and threw it to Tyler. 1 out the empire shouted. “GAME OVER”

We're in the grandfinals because we won all of our games except one, that was against Ellerslie Intermediate. Churchill Park again where playing again. We all said ohhhhhh because when we played the first time against them their pitcher did not pitch properly. Yes we are the “EASTERN ZONE” champs. We are going to the “AUCKLAND ZONES”.

On the first day of school I was excited because I wanted to know what class I was in. Zane Room 21 with Mrs Lagitupu, Mrs Nua shouted my name out loud. Yes, I'm in a good class I said to my self, because I'm not with my friends who I always talk to.

Awesome, we have finally have our brand new class rooms.

This year, from year five to year eights we get to have net-books to work on to do our school work. Our stationary only cost $10.00 because we have net-books.

This year I am looking forward to Camp because we do lots of fun activities.

School is awesome because you learn ALOT!!!

On Monday the 14th of february on the second week of school
we left school at 8:30pm because the year 7s and 8s strolled down to Tamaki College for technology. As we got there, we splited up into our groups. We had five different groups of tech. Graphics, Hard Materials, Food tech, Eletronic and Science. I was in Graphics. We drew shapes and we learnt three tones of colours. Dark, Medium and light. The name of the Graphics teacher was Ms Ferguson, and she was a little bit growly. It was pretty boring because we had done this last year and also I wanted to start the new ones. Science or Electronic.

Holidays Highlights

On the first week on the school holidays it felt pretty awesome. It felt awesome because Christmas was coming up. Yawning, I was so tired, and I said too my self good idea. Going sleep early and not looking at the time might be good because the day might be darker fast.

Second week second week I said to my self. Looking out my window it was like shining gold. Strolling into the kitchen, oohhhhh it was a huge pig st ye. Cleaning up all this mess was just boring. I went outside to my friends and we went to the park and I left my mum to clean the house.

Going with use was are waste of time because use guys a doing nothing. I should of stayed home and clean the house with my mum.

The three kind friends is a rabbit a monkey and a brown furry mouse. O’Reilly had a dream every day about huge real bears with fierce ugly eyes and shaggy coats. He said to his self, real bears don’t wear trousers, shirts, shoes and socks.

This book is about O’Reilly and his dream, he likes playing with real bears.

You should read this book. Its funny and it entertains the audience.

Mairangi Bay!

It was an ugly cloudy day when the year 7s travelled to Mairangi Bay over the North-shore. We had arrived and the beach and it was beautiful. We strolled into a huge room where we had have to put our bags. All of the students sat down and the life guards were asking us some questions about when we go out for swimming or there is any dangerous stuff like a rip's, tsunami's and shore breakers.

After all of the questions, we went too have our morning tea and have a break. I scrunched all of my lunch down my throat because I was hungry. Ten minutes later I had five minutes left playing because we had a fifteen minutes morning tea. I jumped into a fast and a fit team. It was boring because we were thrashing them like nothing.

The Wiesel blew and every one shouted oooooooooooooooh because the game had not finished. Some people said, it is a another boring session.They were talking to us about the rules, wearing sun block, wearing your hats and also glasses. Oooooooh I'm tired I said to my self, it was taking long and also my legs were saw and numb. All of the students had a nice good stretch before we have another fifteen minutes asking questions.

Yay!, we get to go lunch early for lunch, every one was so excited to go to lunch early including me I was amazed. Should we play rugby should we play rugby?, I shouted to all of the boys.
We kicked it off to other team and we got a 22, that means we kick it to their deadline so they kick it to us now. I caught the ball on a full and I ran the ball straight up and I got hit by Feki. I did not care because that's how you play the game. Play the ball I shouted to Charm? Tyler past it to me and I kick it to Jonty and he scored my beauty kick try.

Megan screamed her whole breath to call the people who were swimming to gather in so she can talk about the rules in the water again. Boogie boards, ooooooh I should went for a swim but I got no swimming tog, ooh snagges. They were having lots of fun, buts thats alright because I was having fun by my self. That was a short session of swimming. Finally the sun comes out when we a going back to school.

Auckland's volcanic field

In Auckland's Volcanic Field their are 50 small basalt volcanoes.
How large is it?

It is enormous like the size of Auckland's city only slightly smaller.
How old is it?
It is a quarter of a million years old (250,ooo years).
In the Volcanic Field I only know about Rangitoto.

Rangitoto is the youngest volcano in Auckland but
it had one of the biggest eruptions that took place in New Zealand.
Rangitoto is a polygenitic volcano, which means it had erupted not once but a few time's.
It erupted, 600 to 800 year's ago and as it was erupting it was only seen by man.
It is known to have seven lava cave's.

In the future, I hope that there will be no more Volcanoes erupting.

MY Rugby League team that I play for is,Ellerslie Eagles. On Saturday we had a game agaist,Bay Roskil. As the game kick off,my team were chasing the ball like it was gold. When the ball went to L.J,he had ran with the ball and busted nearly my whole team and nearly got are runner way.But luckily the fullback was there, guess who it was ,it was Zane who tackled him and got winded.When he got winded, he nocked the ball on and it was hand over to us. My friend ran the ball and he got tackled. On the second run, we done Broncos, when we done Broncos it means hand's all the way to the wing. As they past the ball to Zane on the wing , I got are runner way and dived for the try in the corner.

kiwis vs Austalia

When the game started the kiwis done there haka and they went straight up to there faces and done the pukana and the kangaroos didn,t have a haka.After the haka the game started and the Austalia kicked off first and the kiwis resevied.The people who scored the tries were Benji Marshall,Jeremy Smith, Lance Hoaha [2] Jereome Ropati,Adam Blair, It was a fasanating game to watch. The Aussies were really shocked to see the Kiwis win the World Cup. GO THE MIGHTY KIWIS!!!!

On my first lap I was feeling tired but still I went for another lap .All of sudden I needed water because I was exhausted for another lap needed water again because I was feeling tired .And I said to my self champion's never give up and than I was still running .But than I stoped.When I stoped Mr Brown said keep on running or if you might come last in a training .When I got up I went to run again and than I made it and my time was 11. 38.15 sec.My goal is to run every lap and never stop until it is finish.

When we went outside there was a helicopter. When it was landing it was like it was blowing the grass away. After that I went up the front and then the helicopter came down. When it was blowing me away it felt like a tornado. After that the man from the helicopter came outside to talk to us about how things can fly. Then three people from our school came up so they could ask the man some questions.

Hang Glider

Last Thurday we were having training then everybody said there is a person coming on a hang glider. When it came past the whole school was waving to him . After that when he was high as he looked like a small little tiny bird. When I saw the wings it looked like a birds wing. When it was landing he was still paddling while he was in the air.

Camp Care-A-Lot

Last week we went to Camp Care-A-Lot. When we went it was cool. We played lots of games every day . Who we played with was the teachers. When we went to Camp Care-A-Lot we went in the beginning of the year. We played games, we went for a long walk with the teachers and mums and dads. The camp was at the school and we slept in tents on the field. The teachers had to stay up the whole night to make sure we were safe.
